The Embrace
The Embrace explores the power and intimacy of the hug. Two bodies remain in constant contact — skin against skin, intertwined limbs, sliding muscles in an endless movement of connectedness. In a time when digital communication and individualism are on the rise, this work focuses on the simplicity and value of physical closeness.
The choreography of The Embrace is choreographed by Marika Meoli and Joost Vrouenraets.
It will be performed during the Nederlandse Dansdagen during the lecture De Kracht van Dans led by Prof. Dr. Janine Stubbe.
